Reimagining Zaplabs marketing website to attract top tier talent.
Client
ZapLabs is the technology branch for the global real estate company Realogy Holdings Corporation. Zaplabs’ main product is a CRM tool built specifically for all of Realogy’s real estate agents.
Problem statement
Our recruiting team was struggling to keep engagement with potential new hires. A series of questionnaires were sent to past recruits that feel out of the hiring process. It was found that among various things, our web presence was a consistent problem.
Basically our website looked very dated tech company compared to other companies in the bay area.
My role
My role as Lead Designer was to communicate with all stakeholders as well as manage my design team. As the project progressed, our engineering team was overloaded and I was tasked to PM the project as well with a team of contractors to execute.
And I also served as the Director of Photography for the photoshoot to populated our website with real images of employees and our leadership team.
Explorations
In order to modernize the look and feel of the website, I had to do a deeper dive into the branding. While I was limited in what I could do with the original logo, I pushed to incorporate a new refreshed color palette as well as a logo icon.
The new icon would become the foundation for all branding decisions moving forward. Incorporating the angles of the icon into every piece facet of marketing material distributed.

Zaplabs refreshed website
Unfortunately Zaplabs parent company, Realogy, made the decision to close down its operations at Zap. So as you are viewing the website, you may notice some bugs, as I had to use the “wayback” machine to view the site.
